The iPod video
2005 was a busy year for the iPod division of Apple computers. Earlier in the year Apple Computers announced the iPod shuffle and the iPod nano. Along comes the iPod video, a fifth generation iPod, in October 2005.

The iPod video is available in both a 30GB and 60GB mode. The 30GB iPod video measures 2.4 x 4.1 x 0.43
inches and, weighs 4.8 oz.($299 MSRP). The 60GB iPod video measures
2.4 x 4.1 x 0.55
inches and weighs, weighing 5.5 oz ($399 MSRP). Both have a
2.5-inch (diagonal) color LCD with LED backlight.
IPod video 30GB has storage space to hold 7,500 songs,
20,000 photos, or 75 hours of video playback.
iPod video 60GB
on the other hand, has storage space for 15,000 songs,
20,000 photos, or 150 hours of video playback. 60GB of storage space should be more than adequate for most music lovers or photo enthusiasts.
A rechargeable lithium ion-battery powers the iPod video for up to 20 hours. Expect battery life to be shortened considerably with video playback.
30GB battery life: Up to 14 hours of music playback; up to 3 hours of slideshows with music; up to 2 hours of video playback.
60GB battery life: Up to 20 hours of music playback; up to 4 hours of slideshows with music; up to 3 hours of video playback. Charge time for the li-ion battery is four hours.
