A rechargeable lithium ion battery powers the iPod shuffle for up to 12 hours. Charge time for the li-ion battery is four hours. Extend the battery life of your iPod shuffle with an optional battery pack. Two AAA batteries keep music playing up to 20 hours after the internal battery is drained.
