The iPod nano
Apple Computers, Inc, announced to the world the birth of the iPod nano on September 7, 2005. The small and sleek iPod nano weighs in at 1.5 oz. with pencil thin dimensions of 3.5 x 1.6 x0.27 inches. Although the outer shell of the iPod nano comes in only two color choices, black or white, it does not lack for color in its video display. The iPod nano has a 65,536 color display for viewing photographs.
The iPod nano is available in a 1GB, a 2GB and 4GB model, holding 250 songs, 500 songs and 1000 songs respectively. Apple bases these numbers on a 4 minute per song average. If tunes are not your thing, the iPod nano can store 25,000 photos. In addition to tunes and photos the iPod nano syncs personal contacts, calendars, and to-do lists.
Inquiring minds have asked, 'Must I own a Mac computer to sync my tunes and photos?' The answer to this question is 'No.' The iPod nano is compatible with both the MAC OS X and Windows 2000/XP. It charges and syncs to a computer via USB 2.0 port.
